Background
Victoria Woodward gained her BSc (Hons) Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University in 1995, her MSc(Eng) in Work Design & Ergonomics at the University of Birmingham in 1996 and her PGCPD in 2009 with Distinction at the University of Wales, Glyndŵr University. She is currently completing a PhD at Glyndŵr University.
In 1997, she specialised in ergonomics of air traffic control systems as a Scientific Officer with the Ministry of Defence. In 1999 Victoria moved into the pharmaceutical field as a sales representative for seven years, in both the UK and Canada, before returning to higher education in 2007.
Victoria is a member of the British Psychological Society and a Trustee of Sahir House HIV support group in Merseyside.
Research interests
Victoria’s research interests are within the field of the psychology and sociology, in particular the biopsychosocial factors of living with chronic illness (women and HIV) and psychology of addictive behaviours. She is also researching collective memories of people in Wales within the area of cognitive psychology.
