Sally-Ann Baker gained her BSc (Hons) Psychology in 1994 from Lancaster University, is a senior lecturer and a member of the psychology team at Glyndwr University. She has been at Glyndwr University ( formally NEWI) since 1998 as a member of the Centre for Health and Community Research ( now Research Centre for Health wellbeing and Society) and as an Associate member of SIRU ( Social inclusion research unit). In this capacity she has been involved in a range of funded projects within health, social care and educational setting.

She acts as a reviewer for SDO and NIHR project proposals, and as a member of BCUHB Internal review panel. She is an active member of the BCUHB Internal review panel in North East Wales, involved in a KTP project with the Trust, a longstanding member of Glyndwr University Ethics Committee and reviewer for NIHR .

She also serves on the editorial boards of Welsh Journal of Psychology and is a co-opted member of the Welsh Branch of the BPS.

Research Interests

Sally has specific interests in user service evaluation, the evaluation of community development and health promotion initiatives, perceptions of wellbeing, research design, mixed methods and governance of research and safeguarding issues.
