Simulation lab

All students who study on the BSc Psychology programme have an opportunity to use the Simulation Lab.

The lab is based at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital and is equipped with the most modern computer software in clinical simulation.

It has direct observation and is used to develop not only clinical skills but also non-technical skills such as collaboration, communication and decision making.

Students are able to use verbal and non-verbal communications skills to complete an interaction task with the simulation mannequin, while also experiencing team working under stressful and time-pressured situations.

The simulation lab is also linked with areas of developmental psychology, social psychology and individual differences.
