Programme Tutor for Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP)
After 15 years of teaching on higher education and professional programmes in the FE sector Mike joined the Business School in 2003 and delivers on a range of higher education programmes and at all levels of the CIPD programmes that are delivered at Glyndŵr University. He is currently programme leader for the Certificate level programme.
Prior to moving into education Mike held senior roles within the human resource management function within the local authorities sector (Liverpool City Council, Wirral Borough Council).
In addition to a main stream HRM focus, Mike has been leading on (developing and delivering), MBA and MA Public Sector Management modules on the meta themes of ‘Leadership’ and ‘Personal development planning’. He has undertaken research on the strategic implications for organisations relating to work life balance and is currently following up the initial investigation with some further research
Outside the University Mike is involved with a social housing trust and has been involved in the planning and delivery of a taught module at the Management School of The University of Liverpool.
