Festival and Events Management

Why choose Festival and Events Management?

The foundation degree in events management will prepare you for a career in an expanding industry. You will develop your skills, knowledge and competencies to plan, manage and execute a range of events in a variety of situations including conferences, exhibitions, corporate hospitality, festivals, banqueting and pageantry.

The course also offers the opportunity to study a broad range of business modules. Within the course there will be two modules dedicated to working within the industry, with some opportunities available within the university to gain practical experience.

Topics studied include marketing, festival and events management, finance, human resource management, and the business environment

Career opportunities

The focus of this foundation degree is to provide a combination of practical skills and academic knowledge to develop an effective manager in this growing industry.

Students who successfully complete the foundation degree in Festival and Events Management may progress directly to level 3 (the final year) of the BA (Hons) Business Management course.
