We live and work in a rapidly changing world of financial markets, financial institutions and business firms. It is crucial that finance experts including financial managers in multinational companies, investment analysts in securities firms, lending officers in banks and other financial institutions and traders in capital markets and dealing rooms, have a clear understanding of the theory and practice relating to accounting and corporate finance and the role of management within it.
Familiarity with the most recent developments in risk appraisal, portfolio analysis, the engineering of synthetic products, modelling techniques, financial analysis and valuation are essential requirements for all those involved directly in financial activities or who wish to gain a deeper understanding of this important area of business management.
Modules include Leading and Managing People, Developing Competitive Advantage and Financial Strategy, Risk Management and Control amongst others. You will be taught by a dedicated team of experienced lecturers actively involved in contemporaryresearch and the industry.

Entry requirements
A good honours degree in accounting and/or finance (if you have a business degree then at least 40% of the degree must have been in accounting and/or finance) or a relevant professional qualification.
Assessment
A range of assessment strategies will be utilised by academic tutors on this course. Assessments include formal written examinations, presentations, group work projects and independent research.
