Language classes and support

Glyndŵr University provides a range of language classes and personal support for students and other users who wish to develop their language skills.

The following language facilities are available:

Welsh language courses

It is possible to learn Welsh while studying at Glyndŵr University. Our courses range from complete beginners to Upper Intermediate. By completing one of these courses, you could gain 20 HE credits and a HE certificate. We currently offer four levels of study which provide the learner with a clear progression route.

English language support

The Second Language Learning Centre provides in-sessional English language support throughout the academic year to all international and European students.

Learn a foreign language

The Centre offers an exciting variety of foreign language learning opportunities at variety of levels, from beginners to advanced, and in a growing range of languages such as ESOL/EFL (English for Professional Purposes), Chinese (Mandarin), Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
