Student Funding and Welfare Service

Student Funding and Welfare Service

The service supports and guides current and prospective students on a range of funding and welfare issues and concerns.

The team is made up of:

  • Senior Student Advisor/Team Leader: Beverley Mottram-Roper
  • Student Advisor: Beryl Dixon
  • Information Assistants: Emma Griffiths and Wendy Townsend

The team has expertise in student funding arrangements for both full- and part-time students.

The service is located in the Students' Guild building. Our resource area allows you to access/download information and advice on issues related to student welfare in a quiet, friendly atmosphere. You can also pick up application forms for student loans and grants and get advice on filling them in. Drop-in sessions are available daily or, to make an appointment, please see below for contact details. All enquiries through the service are treated as strictly confidential.

We also hold ADVICE SHOPS on money management, e.g. budgeting, incomemaximisation and student funding, e.g. fees, grants, loans and bursaries.
