Student Sport - Athletic Union
The Athletic Union (AU) at Glyndŵr University gives you the opportunity to join a sports club, make friends and play sport at any level from beginner to elite. Once you are a member the Athletic Union you will never look back.
Enjoyment and socialising is almost as important as success on the pitch. All students are welcome to become members of the AU and there is so much to get involved in, you won’t know where all your time has gone... look out for the charity fancy dress nights, the end of season awards evening and many other fundraising evenings. If supporting from the sidelines is more your style pop down to one of the sports grounds on a Wednesday afternoon and cheer on your favourite team. Don’t miss the post-match celebrations though!
Playing sport, and more specifically becoming a member of a team or a club, is one of the best ways to make the most of your time at university. Quite apart from keeping fit and healthy we guarantee that you'll make some of your best friends through the Athletic Union.
