
Emily Warren
Research Assistant
Emily Warren joined the Social Inclusion Research Unit at Glyndŵr University as a research assistant in 2005, having completed her undergraduate degree at Durham University. Since then she has collaborated on many research projects. Her main research interests include children and young people, health inequalities and health promotion. She is currently working towards her PhD on the subject of ‘Schools, Families and Food’ looking at diet inequalities among young children in North Wales.
Funded research projects include several commissioned by the Welsh Assembly Government such as research to seek views of older people in Wales, evaluations of grants relating to Food, Fitness and Dietician projects and initiatives such as the CAFCASS Cymru Pilot Family Dispute Resolution Scheme, Welsh Smoke Free Legislation and free School Breakfast clubs. Her research publications focus on children’s diet and social care family interventions.
