Research Centre for Art and Design (RCAD)

The Research Centre for Art & Design focuses on: practice-led and practice-based research as well as design innovations. The research within this area covers many art specialisms including design; fine art; illustration; animation; design communications, multimedia and applied arts.

The academics in this area have been published widely and are often asked to give their expert opinions on work commissioned by large organisations. They have also undertaken research for clients including UNESCO, the NHS, and the Environment Agency. They’re also artists in their own right exhibiting their work internationally.
