Accommodation advice
Please be aware that if your study programme dictates that you arrive after the start of the normal academic year, for example as a placement student or second semester only student, there will be a reduced possibilty of Glyndŵr University being able to offer you a room on campus. You will however be able to obtain advice about alternative accommodation options by our Student Information Desk (SID) or Accommodation Services by following the link below to ‘accommodation web pages’.
Rooms on campus are offered on a first come basis so the earlier you can book the more chance you have of securing a room on campus.
In the first instance you should visit our dedicated accommodation web pages where you will find the email address and telephone number of our Student Information Desk (SID) who will help you with accommodation matters. You will also find extensive on-line information and advice about our own University campus accommodation in addition to private sector rooms.
We strongly advise that you arrange and confirm your accommodation as soon as possible after you have received a ‘Conditional’ offer or have had confirmation that a place has been offered on your chosen course of study, whether this is a placement, project, ECTS credit accumulation or studying towards a University of Wales degree.
Whether you are coming to Glyndŵr University to study for a complete academic year, for 1 semester or for a period of time outside of the normal semester dates, it is important that you make arrangements to reserve and secure your accommodation in Wrexham BEFORE you leave your home country.
Accommodation advice for visitors to Glyndŵr University
Hotel accommodation is readily available in Wrexham. Visitors generally use either 'The Lemon Tree' hotel (www.lemon-tree.net) or 'The Grove Guest House' (www.grove-guesthouse.co.uk). Both are within 15 minutes walk of the main campus.
For those looking for a more rural stay, the 'Owain Glyndwr Inn' in Gwernymynydd village (www.owainglyndwrinn.co.uk) is around 12 miles from the campus and offers stunning views and a 'pub' environment. Ther are also a good number of other pub/hotel locations around the Wrexham area.
