Academic Entry requirements

Undergraduate Degree

  • Higher Technician Diploma
  • Teachers Certificate (five years from an intermediate teacher training institute)
  • Teachers Certificate (from a higher teacher training institute)
  • Bachelor degree (from a higher technical and vocational institution)

Postgraduate (Masters)

  • Bachelor degree (from a university)
  • Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering or Medicine (from a university)
  • Master’s degree

For some postgraduate degrees, we may consider relevant work experience or industry knowledge instead of formal education. Make sure you mention this on your application form and include all supporting evidence. Work certificates and references should include detailed descriptions of your responsibilities.

If your first language is not English, you must satisfy Glyndŵr University’s English language entry requirements to gain admission to our courses. We accept the following English language qualifications at these levels.

Students who are short of these levels by IELTS 1.0 (or equivalent) may be able to study on our EAP (English for Academic Purposes) 8 week course at an additional cost of £1,600 including accommodation.

Students who are short of these levels by IELTS 0.5 (or equivalent) may be able to study on our EAP (English for Academic Purposes) 4 week course at an additional cost of £800.00 including accommodation.
