Start out with help to start-up
9 June 2006
University students, recent graduates and sixth form students in and around Wrexham are being offered the chance to benefit from free, expert advice on starting a business. NEWI is hosting a series of events for the G2E (Graduating to Enterprise) business start-up week to help those considering setting up on their own.
The week long programme of workshops will cover a host of relevant topics from legal issues and marketing to sales techniques and finance. The aim of the week is to offer budding entrepreneurs business tips and advice and equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to successfully launch their own business.
The week has been organised by the Welsh Assembly Government's Graduating to Enterprise (G2E) programme in association with universities and colleges across Wales. Last year the events held at NEWI were a huge success and one recent NEWI graduate who attended last time is coming back this year to share his experiences and talk about how he has been running his own successful business for the last twelve months.
The workshops are open to any sixth form or university students and recent graduates who live in the area and will be delivered by professionals, who have experience of running their own businesses. Judith Alexander, Enterprise Projects Co-Ordinator at NEWI said, “We have got some great speakers lined up and the events should be really interesting. People can choose to attend all the sessions or simply pick the ones they feel are most relevant to them”.
Anyone requiring more information should contact Judith, email j.alexander@newi.ac.uk or see the G2E website www.g2e.co.uk
