Mystery identity to be revealed…

Who is more machine than man, can melt concrete on contact and was born in space? Of course it is Top Gear’s The Stig. But who was the original Stig? His identity has been shrouded in mystery but now there is an opportunity to find out at a free event at NEWI on 16th February 2006 7pm.
For those who have often wondered who is behind the helmet the original Stig’s true identity will be revealed. He’ll be here in Wrexham in the flesh, without the helmet and leathers, to talk about his career from the Grand Prix to Le Mans to his mystery identity and teaching celebrities to drive racing cars.
He’ll be here along with a panel of other experts from the world of rally driving and supercars to talk about their sport. Ferraris, Maseratis, A1, Formula 1, Top Gear laps and much more and there will be plenty of opportunities for the audience to ask questions.
There will also be a range of cars on display including a Ferrari 355 GTS, Subaru Evolution, Honda S2000, Ford Cobra, Skyline Nissan R33 GTS-T, Mitsubishi Evolution 9, NEWI’s own racing team’s Van Dieman RF69 and for those looking for a touch a class a stretch limousine! There will also be modified cars belonging to members of the North Wales Cruise Club on display in front of NEWI’s main building on Mold Road.
