As alumni, you are welcome to use the Careers Centre and Jobshop at Glyndŵr University, regardless of when you graduated, where you will have access to free information, advice and guidance services and resources for job seekers*.
The Careers Centre is designed to provide impartial and professional information, advice and guidance and we are a member of AGCAS and the Institute of Career Guidance and we are Matrix accredited.

Services
- Careers Advice - access to careers guidance interviews; make appointments to talk with a Careers Adviser and also EGuidance
- Jobshop - located in the Students’ Guild building, advertising graduate jobs, part-time jobs, vacation work, voluntary work, internships and placements
- Work Experience Placements - access to 6-10 week paid work placements via the GO Wales scheme
- Work Tasters - unpaid work tasters via the GO Wales programme
- Events - coach trips to graduate fairs; employer presentations and interviews
- Free CV and application checking service - have your CV or application form checked to make sure you are presenting yourself in the best possible way
- Interview preparation - we can help on a one-to-one basis and also set up mock interviews
- Free computer and telephone facilities
- Extensive Careers Information Library - with many reference files, guides, books, videos, free publications and leaflets
- Local newspapers available in the Careers Centre and Jobshop
- Employment and opportunity preparation sessions
- Practice Psychometric Testsfiles
