Threats and Opportunities for Mental Wellbeing

All Wales Mental Health Promotion Network

Wednesday 17 March 2010

Glyndŵr University, Wrexham, Wales, UK

The All Wales Mental Health Promotion Network is delighted to announce its third annual conference.

This conference will examine the impact that the recession may have on mental health and the opportunity for promoting mental wellbeing and promoting individual and community resilience.

The conference is appropriate for existing members of the Network and anyone responsible for, or interested in, promoting public mental health.

The aim of the conference is to provide access to evidence around the theme and to promote good practice. The event will include a range of presentations followed by workshops across the areas of:

  • parenting and early years
  • children and young people
  • communities
  • employment
  • older people
  • financial inclusion and capability

Network events aim to:

  • provide a forum for learning;
  • provide an opportunity for network members to share ideas;
  • provide a forum for network members to establish links and partnerships with others from different organisations and sectors;
  • establish links between evidence and practice;
  • encourage practitioners who are not yet members to join the network;
  • use the collective experience and knowledge of network members and others to help inform future policy and practice.

To register please complete the registration form and return it to mentalhealth@wch.wales.nhs.uk
