An Audience with Adventurer Alastair HumphreysThursday 11 March 2010, 7.30pm Catrin Finch Centre, Glyndŵr University, Wrexham Aged 24, Alastair Humphreys left the UK to cycle round the world. His journey along the length of the Earth’s three great land masses (Africa, the Americas, Eurasia) took more than 4 years to complete. The self-funded solo ride was a truly global journey, succeeding through the kindness of strangers and enormous determination. Sir Ranulph Fiennes called it "the first great adventure of the new Millennium." During the evening Alastair will bring his inspirational adventure alive with a series of photographs from his travels. This talk sold out at the 2009 Chester Literature Festival, so book early to avoid disappointment. “With the possible exception of Sir David Attenborough, that was the best lecture, and the longest applause that I have heard in the past 15 years” - President of the Royal Geographical Society TicketsTickets cost £7.50 and are available: Online
