University Compliance Manager – Glyndŵr University London
Salary: £60,000 pa.
Glyndŵr University has recently taken the bold step of establishing its own London campus. The University now seeks a University Compliance Manager to ensure that all aspects of delivery in London conform to the University’s regulations and processes as well as to external regulatory requirements, such as of the UK Border Agency (UKBA), the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) etc. Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Director of Glyndŵr London, this is a senior post requiring exceptional managerial skills and vision. The post-holder will become the guardian of the University’s quality and reputation in London and will manage local London-based managers (both operational and academic) as well as liaise with senior managers at the main campus in Wrexham, North Wales.
Candidates should be educated to postgraduate level and have significant management experience at a middle-senior level gained within higher education either within an academic or operational context. Such experience may have been gained in the public or private sector HE. Candidates should be self-starters capable of taking major initiatives in order to develop the University’s London activities and enhance the reputation of the University. Knowledge of academic quality procedures and of the requirements of the QAA and UKBA are essential for this post.
The post-holder will be employed by the University’s wholly owned subsidiary company, Glyndŵr London School of Management and Science Ltd. The post is available immediately and is a full-time permanent position. The post-holder will normally be based in London but regular visits to the main campus of the University in Wrexham are expected including on occasions overnight stays.
